There are two 5k events - a run or a walk. They both are priced the same, with generous discounts for early registration and a family-friendly youth rate.
All registered participants will be chip timed so that your time starts when you cross the start line. This allows families and other groups to start behind the individual participants without it impacting their times or standing.
The 5k course runs from the Port Union Waterfront Park to the Rouge Beach and back again.
The 10k course followes the 5k event's path then continues West to Highland Creek and turns up Highland Creek for about 1.5k. Some sections of the Highland Creek trail are compacted gravel but the trail is mostly paved.
As with the 5k events, there are generous discounts for early registration and a family-friendly youth rate.
There will be water available at the start/finish line, at the 2.5k turnaround and at the 7.5k turnaround point.
The trail for all events is mostly paved but closed to vehicular traffic. There will likely be some pedestrians and cyclists on the course.
