The run starts at the Port Union Waterfront Park and heads west along the Waterfront Trail, crosses the Waterfront Trail Bridge, then turns north to follow the Highland Creek trail. At 2.5k the course turns around and returns back to start line at Port Union Waterfront Park.
The 10k route is the 5k route run twice. So when you come through the finish line after 5k you turn around and run the route again.
All registered participants will be chip timed so that your time starts when you cross the start line. This allows families and other groups to start behind the individual participants without it impacting their times or standing.
There will be water available at the start/finish line and at the 2.5k turnaround.
The trail for all events is mostly paved but closed to vehicular traffic. There will likely be some pedestrians and cyclists on the course.
